About the project
TUI, is a global business with over 70 000 people on board, great history and challenging plans for building a digital future. TUI is the largest leisure, travel and tourism company globally, and it owns travel agencies, hotels, airlines, cruise ships and retail shops.
Product & Engagement is a global team within TUI technology responsible for B2B Platforms within the Trips Programme. We are a multi-disciplinary team of experts across Architecture, Engineering, DevOps and Agile Delivery providing services across the UK, Ireland, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Finland, Germany, Belgium and The Netherlands.
What you'll do
- Ability to quickly create the UI part of MFE and get familiar with UI Library.
- Ability to work in Zeplin and other similar applications.
- Follow and improve code quality standards
- Perform technical assessment of mockups/wireframes and architectural designs/specifications to ensure the possibility of their implementation within a reasonable time
- Create and review software feature design documents and provide the solution
- Contribute ideas through your knowledge of evolving front-end technologies
- Be proactive in communication with team members and clients
- Use industry best practices of development processes & tools, adopt, and improve them
- Mentorship of junior colleagues
- Problem solving, Solution Presentation, Meeting and Visual Facilitation
What we're looking for
- Proficiency in JavaScript frameworks, preferably React.
- Fluency in HTML/CSS
- Knowledge of UI Design Tools such as Zeplin, Sketch, inVision, etc.
- Implementation experience with APIs (REST, GraphQL) on client and server sides.
- Proficiency in experience with cloud platform service
- Familiarity with relational and non-relational databases in a cloud-native environment.
- CI/CD proficiency (preferably GitLab CI), infrastructure as code, and AWS services.
- Knowledge of software architecture principles.
- Strong decision-making and negotiation skills.
- Passion for continuous improvement and team collaboration.
Desirable skills but not mandatory for UI Developer: Good understanding NodeJs and MongoDB
