About the role
Junior Support Specialist (Information Systems) is responsible for supporting Nortal Group internal users in their day-to-day activities, and participate in implementing and improving internal information systems and related processes.
What you'll do
1. User Support & Help Desk
- Act as the 1st line support for internal information systems and help desk requests.
- Support and consult users by answering system incidents (tickets) and participating in problem resolution.
- Solve incidents and problems in line with internal SLA requirements.
2. Documentation & Communication
- Prepare, update, and maintain user manuals, instructions, and process documentation.
- Communicate system updates, changes, and new releases to users.
3. Training & User Enablement
- Train employees on how to use internal information systems and related business processes.
4. Systems Implementation & Improvement
- Participate in system implementation and upgrade projects, including deployment, hyper‑care, and post‑project reviews.
- Collect user ideas for system or process improvements and ensure they are validated and reported.
- Recognize opportunities to improve processes and communicate them to the supervisor.
5. Testing & Quality Assurance
- Test changes and updates in systems and related business processes.
- Detect and report failures in functionality and data exchange.
- Regularly monitor data quality to ensure high-quality information across systems.
- Test system integrations and analyze issues when failures occur.
6. Access & Rights Management
- Manage user rights for non‑business‑critical internal information systems in accordance with company policies.
7. Data & Risk Responsibility
- Take responsibility for data accuracy in internal information systems.
- Manage risks related to changes in such data.
8. Asset & Data Protection
- Preserve and protect company assets, including methodologies and licensed development tools.
- Follow internal data protection requirements for company and client data.
- Use professional and business-related information responsibly and according to contractual obligations.
9. Additional Duties
- Perform all other tasks assigned that relate to the area of responsibility.
What we're looking for
- Experience working as user` support or QA with different systems and processes
- Higher education degree
- Basic understanding different IT and back-office processes (resource planning, time reporting, document management, task management, meta data mapping, a.s.o)
- Practical knowledge in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Some experience working with Document management system (e.g. M-Files), Power BI, Jira, Confluence, Resource planning tool, Recruitment platform, Project management software, HR system (Dynamics HR, BambooHR) or ERP (e.g. Dynamics 365, SAP, Oracle, Sage, Certinia, Odoo).
- High level of responsibility and detail-orientation
- Availability, agility, readiness to react and decide fast
- Sense of criticality and system owner mindset
- Structural thinking, and analytical mindset
- Ability to work independently as well as in team
- Very good communication and multi-tasking skills
- Routine and fluctuating workload tolerant
Language skills
- English skills on a level allowing fluent verbal and written communication
