You will join an extension team of our client – Besix, the leading player in the world of infrastructure and automation. As an Electrical Engineer, your role is pivotal in the automation facet of movable bridges, locks, and tunnels. Your expertise will be essential in navigating the complexities of multidisciplinary teams, actively contributing to various project phases.

What you'll do

  • Formulating conceptual hardware documents adhering to established standards and relevant electrical regulations.
  • Translating technical concepts into actionable solutions for clients, following internal protocols.
  • Collaborating within a multi-disciplinary team dedicated to engineering projects for Civil Engineering clients.
  • Generating essential documentation in conjunction with company engineers, including hardware typicals, material and cable lists, I/O lists and internal documentation.
  • Crafting material specifications based on industry standards and conducting meticulous comparisons.
  • Collaborating with the project leader to devise solutions aligned with the requirements package or specified criteria.
  • Offering guidance and oversight to the design team in the creation of electrical diagrams.
  • Coordinating with the panel building department to address modifications during prefabrication.

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electromechanics, Automation, or a related field
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Proficiency in composing hardware automation systems and editing I/O lists.
  • Knowledge of EPLAN, CAD or Caneco is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently, take initiative and adapt to changing needs.
  • Strong communication skills and a flexible mindset.
  • Fluent in English (reading, writing, and speaking)
