About our client

You will join Web, Engagement global team at TUI responsible for the Web technologies across all holiday products and all TUI regions which owns several web applications that serve millions of users per year, generating billions in revenue for TUI. You will work with the multi-disciplinary team of experts across Architecture, Engineering, DevOps, and Agile Delivery who are located, and also providing technical services, across the UK, Ireland, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Finland, Germany, Belgium, and The Netherlands. The project is a web platform (mostly in Kubernetes) and the client's  strategy is to embrace new technologies to prepare for the future and deliver for the now. Client is looking at moving to Modular Architecture which will provide benefits to the way we work along with delivering faster and more efficiently for our business and customers

What you'll do

  • Work in DevOps team to build new and tune current cloud infrastructure
  • Create an automated Deployment Pipeline to ship applications and infrastructure to production
  • Deploy services to Kubernetes cluster (AWS EKS), support, tune and regularly update EKS
  • Collaborate with developers, QA, and architects to build the pipeline and provide clear reporting to all teams
  • Resolve and troubleshoot issues and remove blockers with the pipeline or infrastructure
  • Communicate the DevOps workload to Product Owner and non-technical colleagues
  • Provide centralized monitoring, logging, reporting and alerting tooling for development teams

What we're looking for

  • Strong experience with AWS services: EKS, EC2, Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, OpenSearch, CloudFront, CloudFormation

  • AWS networking knowledge: VPC, subnets, routing, security groups, Transit Gateway
  • Strong understanding of AWS security best practices: IAM, least-privilege access, secrets management
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines, preferably GitLab CI
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code: Terraform and AWS CDK (TypeScript preferred)
  • Knowledge of Kubernetes architecture, deployment, scaling, networking, and security
  • Hands-on experience with Helm Charts
  • Experience with GitOps practices using ArgoCD and/or FluxCD
  • Scripting skills: Bash and Python
  • Experience with observability and monitoring tools: Datadog, CloudWatch, CloudTrail
  • Strong troubleshooting skills
  • Experience with AWS Fargate
  • Understanding of cloud cost optimization and resource efficiency
  • Upper-intermediate English level required
