Pwrteams is seeking a Senior Automation QA Engineer for a short-term contract (6-9 months) with the potential for extension.

TUI, is a global business with over 70 000 people on board, great history and challenging plans for building a digital future. TUI is the largest leisure, travel and tourism company globally, and it owns travel agencies, hotels, airlines, cruise ships and retail shops.
What you'll do
Full SDLC:
- Design, automate, and maintain API test suites for backend services.
- Build and evolve test frameworks, tooling, and test data management.
- Embed automated tests into CI/CD and ensure reliable quality gates.
- Analyse results and provide clear quality reporting and risk assessment.
- Partner with PO/BA/Engineering to ensure testable specs and shared quality ownership.
What we're looking for
- Experience in REST API testing.
- Experience in QA automation of Java REST services using Rest Assured and supporting frameworks.
- Solid Java and OOP skills.
- Good knowledge of SQL (PostgreSQL or similar).
- Experience with CI tools and processes (GitLab, Jenkins, TeamCity, or similar).
- Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git, SVN).
- Good knowledge of testing methods, techniques, and types across the testing pyramid (functional, integration/contract, performance/load).
- Understanding of Agile/Scrum ways of working.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science (or equivalent experience).
- English: Upper-Intermediate level or above.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills, with attention to documentation and quality reporting.
- DevSecOps mindset and commitment to secure engineering practices.
Nice-to-Have
- Experience with Kotlin.
- Practical experience with BDD.
- Experience implementing automated testing for projects and systems.
- Experience with AWS services (S3, SQS, etc.).
- Hands-on experience with AI tools (Amazon Q, Kiro, GitHub Copilot, or similar) and MCP services.
