The Role

You will join an extension team of our client - Capital Union Bank (CUB).

CUB is an independent financial institution, incorporated and headquartered in the Commonwealth of The Bahamas. CUB was founded in 2013 by a group of renowned financiers and entrepreneurs who have dedicated their careers to providing first-class, innovative solutions to the capital markets and wealth management industry.

We are seeking a highly skilled Mid or Senior .NET Back-End Engineer to join our technology team. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in building scalable back-end services using the Microsoft .NET ecosystem, combined with strong hands-on experience in Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud-native deployments. Prior exposure to financial services, trading systems, or digital asset/crypto platforms will be considered a strong advantage.

What you'll do:

  • Design, develop, and maintain secure, high-performance back-end services and APIs in .NET (C#)
  • Implement and optimize micro-services architecture with a focus on scalability, performance, and resilience
  • Collaborate with IT Infrastructure, Security and Software engineers to design and manage Azure cloud environments, CI/CD pipelines, automated deployments and DRP
  • Contribute to system architecture, solution design, and code reviews
  • Ensure adherence to best practices in security, compliance, and performance optimization
  • Troubleshoot production issues and drive root cause analysis
  • Work closely with product managers, front-end developers, and QA to deliver reliable software solutions

What we're looking for:

  • 3+ years of professional experience in back-end software development using .NET / C#
  • Previous experience in financial institutions, trading platforms, wealth management, or crypto/blockchain companies
  • Strong knowledge of RESTful APIs, messaging queues, and service-oriented architectures
  • Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, containers (Docker/Kubernetes)
  • Solid understanding of SQL databases (MS SQL, PostgreSQL, CockroachDB)
  • Experience with security best practices in back-end systems (authentication, authorization, encryption)
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to balance speed and quality
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills in a team-oriented environment

Nice to have:

  • Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools (App Insights, Grafana, ELK)
  • Familiarity with Avaloq, Snowflake, Integral Qlik or alternatives
