Introducing: Sviatoslav Pechurytsia, Country Manager at Pwrteams Ukraine

Written by Admin | July 21, 2025

This summer marks an exciting new chapter for Pwrteams Ukraine as we welcome Sviatoslav Pechurytsia into his new role as Country Manager. A long-time team member with nearly a decade of experience across recruitment, delivery and client relations, Sviatoslav has grown with the company since the days we operated under the name Skelia in Ukraine and Poland. His journey is not only a reflection of his dedication and leadership but also a testament to the opportunities and company culture that define our company today.

With a strong background in human resources, client success and operational leadership, Sviatoslav brings a deeply people-centred perspective to his new role. His priority? Strengthening collaboration across teams, leveraging smart processes and automation and ensuring our Ukrainian delivery centre continues to thrive, even in the most challenging of times.

In this interview, we spoke with Sviatoslav about his career journey, the culture that keeps him inspired at Pwrteams and what’s next for our teams in Ukraine.

Congratulations on your new role as Country Manager for Ukraine! What does this new chapter mean to you personally and professionally?

Thank you. Stepping into the Country Manager role means taking broader responsibility for our entire business in Ukraine, covering everything from overall financial performance to ensuring smooth daily operations.

My focus will be on enhancing efficiency, promoting strong collaboration among teams and continuing our steady growth. It’s about creating an environment where our people can thrive, work effectively together and deliver excellent results for our clients, especially given the challenging times we’re experiencing right now.

You’ve been with Pwrteams since 2015, steadily growing within the company. What do you think has been key to your professional development here?

Professional growth always starts with you, your intrinsic motivation and the goals you set for yourself. But it’s equally important to have strong external support along the way. At Pwrteams, I’ve been fortunate to receive constant encouragement, guidance and opportunities to develop and grow.

The company’s willingness to invest in people, support their education and create a trusting environment has played a significant role in my journey. I’m genuinely grateful to the team and the organisation for enabling and supporting my professional development.

From leading recruitment to managing client relationships, your path at Pwrteams has been incredibly dynamic. Which role challenged you the most so far and why?

I would say every role felt challenging, especially during the initial months. Each position brought new responsibilities, new teams and entirely new areas to explore, which naturally required effort and adaptation. However, this kind of challenge is valuable because it pushes you to learn, evolve and gain fresh perspectives.

For me, that ongoing process of discovery and growth has always been the most rewarding aspect of taking on new roles. Eventually, once a role starts feeling comfortable and becomes a comfort zone, it’s usually a sign that you’re ready to take the next step forward and embrace new opportunities.

What are some key milestones or achievements you're especially proud of from your time at Pwrteams?

It’s difficult to single out just one or two achievements, as each milestone throughout my career has been meaningful in its own context, whether big or small.

However, one thing I’m consistently proud of is my commitment to questioning and challenging existing processes or decisions, especially those that were outdated or ineffective. I’ve always encouraged open dialogue and regularly reviewed established practices, aiming to improve and evolve rather than maintain the status quo.

I strongly believe in creating a culture where everyone feels empowered to speak up when something isn’t working or no longer makes sense, rather than simply accepting things because “that’s how it’s always been done”.

Now that you're stepping into the Country Manager role, what are your key priorities for Pwrteams Ukraine?

My key priorities include ensuring smooth and effective collaboration among our internal functions, reviewing our existing processes to identify inefficiencies or areas needing improvement and establishing new processes as the company continues to evolve.

I also aim to leverage AI and other automation tools to streamline our workflows and boost productivity.

Another important area is supporting our people, ensuring their voices are heard, providing opportunities for professional growth and creating an environment where everyone feels respected and valued.

Finally, given the ongoing war and difficult circumstances we face in Ukraine, building organisational resilience and ensuring business continuity remain critical priorities.

What would you say are the biggest opportunities and challenges for our teams in Ukraine right now?

Apart from what I mentioned earlier, one of our biggest challenges right now is ensuring our teams have everything they need to work effectively under current conditions. This includes providing practical support such as backup power sources and reliable internet connections, as well as emotional and professional support like company-covered therapist sessions and resilience training.

Another significant aspect is clearly communicating to our clients that despite the challenging environment, our services from Ukraine remain as reliable, high-quality and cost-efficient as ever.

We also proactively demonstrate that we have comprehensive mitigation plans in place to manage and minimise any potential risks.

You've led different teams and worked closely with multiple departments. What makes Pwrteams' culture unique in your eyes?

In my view, what sets Pwrteams apart culturally is our remarkable flexibility and adaptability, qualities evident across all departments. This adaptability has been especially clear in recent years, as we’ve navigated significant internal and external changes, including leadership transitions, the mergers with Nortal and Questers and extensive updates to our internal processes and tools.

Despite these challenges and uncertainties, our teams have continuously shown resilience and the ability to adapt effectively. We’re always ready to embrace whatever comes next.

What do you enjoy doing outside of work and how do you recharge?

It really depends on my mood and the time of year, but I genuinely enjoy reading, especially non-fiction or literature related to our industry.

Morning walks help me organise my thoughts and mentally prepare for the day ahead and evening runs are a great way to recharge physically and mentally.

Occasionally, when I have some spare time, I also enjoy casual photography or even relaxing with a video game - it’s a nice way to unwind and disconnect from work for a bit.
