In our first edition, we had the pleasure of talking to Halyna Zherebetska, Head of Talent Acquisition at Pwrteams. Read on to find out what she shared with us.
My journey into recruitment and talent acquisition began unexpectedly. With a Master's degree in International Economic Relations, I never imagined myself working in the IT sphere. However, fate had other plans. I started my career in 2012, initially in a recruitment agency before venturing into various roles within different IT companies. Over the last 7 years, I've had the privilege of being part of Pwrteams, initially joining as a recruiter and gradually advancing to the role of Head of Talent Acquisition.
As Head of Talent Acquisition at Pwrteams, my role revolves around leading recruitment teams across multiple regions, including Ukraine, Poland and Bulgaria. The main task of our department is to hire dedicated teams for our international clients, striving to find the perfect match for their needs. Key aspects of my role include strategizing recruitment initiatives, nurturing client relationships, and ensuring the seamless execution of the hiring processes. I take immense pride in leading a team of strong, self-driven individuals who consistently deliver outstanding results.
Well, I live in Ukraine and unfortunately our biggest challenge currently is to survive.
Other than that, our team faces several work-related challenges, including navigating a global recession, accommodating client budget constraints, and addressing the impact of the war in Ukraine on the continuity of the recruitment process. Adaptability is key. To overcome these challenges, we adapt our strategies, prioritize cost-effective solutions, and maintain open communication with clients to understand their evolving needs.
Our team is actively seeking to fill various types of roles, most of which are in software development (we’re looking for Full-Stack Software Engineers, Java Engineers, Mobile Engineers and others), project management (Digital Transformation Project Lead) and operations (Operation Specialists). These positions will contribute to projects ranging from software development and infrastructure management to business analysis and consultancy, depending on our clients' requirements.
What I find most fulfilling about my role is the opportunity to make meaningful connections between talented professionals and organizations in need of such expertise and culture fit. Whether it's identifying top-tier candidates or witnessing successful project collaborations, facilitating these connections brings me immense satisfaction. And it's all about the people, of course.
What I also truly enjoy – is cooperating with different clients. I like diving into their business, understanding their needs, and then building the perfect team for them. It's incredibly rewarding to find the right match and give candidates the opportunity to work directly with clients, making a real impact on their products. Plus, seeing our company grow and knowing that our recruitment department played a big part in it is really motivating and inspiring.
We have a friendly atmosphere where everyone can grow professionally, constantly learn, and make a difference. Even when things get tough, we stick together and keep going.
